Friends Experiencing “Thin”

We were too drunk to function
We held each other up and
Acted out a mirror reflection

We laughed about our bottomless stage
We chose to laugh instead of cry
It helped subside the rage

The five minutes on a bus stop bench
Helped us make it across the street
And then we ate lunch

Our last bottom day
We made it together
Holding each other up

We didn’t care who saw we were stuck
In a stupor that cements our past
Into a forever friendship to always last

My friend
You’ll always be there
Until my end.
